Personality: One of the more introverted personalities at Camp Half-Blood, it seems that Ashley really has no wish to socialize and is more often then not seen around camp all by his lonesome. While it is no secret that he holds everyone else at several arms length, this has not stopped certain people from wanting to befriend him. Most of these are usually of the opinion that having friends and socializing will do him some good or…they’re girls. Though he certainly didn’t ask for it, Ashley has inherited Medusa’s famed good looks (before she was cursed by Athena that is) and with his brooding and mysterious personality he seems to be able to attract more then a few giggly girls to him. Since he is Medusa’s son, Ashley has always earned the reputation of being a bad boy in certain circles.

However, nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of being a mysterious bad boy, Ashley MacArthur is reality’s version of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. Like the cartoon donkey, Ashley is pessimistic. In fact the word pessimistic might be an understatement when being used to describe him. He often acts as if he has a personal rain cloud above his head and it’s storming over him non stop. If the camp ever held a ’Mr Emo’ competition, Ashley could probably out angst a child of Hades and win hands down. He is also a wet blanket, being overly cautious and will often dampen the spirits of impulsive demigods with dire warnings. Those who attempt to befriend Ashley often get put of by him after a few hours when they realize that he is nothing like they first imagined.

Those who are patient and stick by him however will find that they have made a friend for life. Ashley is a truly loyal and caring friend. Nevertheless, it is not just his personality which hinders him from making friends. Aside from his good looks, Ashley has also inherited some of Medusa’s other abilities. The less serious one is her powers of persuasion. While not as strong or alluring as a Siren, if Ashley puts his mind to it he can certainly tempt and compel people into doing thing for him. His second ability is what he likes to call the ‘Basilisk Gaze.’ Ashley cannot turn people into stone but he can petrify them. However being young and half mortal, Ashley cannot petrify someone for the rest of their lives. He can manage a few minutes at best, and that's only if he gets really, really angry, but just to be safe Ashley always has sunglasses on.

Likes: Vanilla ice cream, peaches, most kinds of music (except loud club remixes), silence, pottery, gardening, cooking, the sea, snakes.
Dislikes: Loud noises, pushy people who want to make friends with him, cats, owls, sometimes having uncontrollable urges to hit a child of Athena, having sudden inexplicable crushes on some random child of Poseidon, accidentally using his powers on someone, demi gods challenging him to spar just because they think he can be a dry run in case they actually have to face his mother, his mother.
Favorite Camp Activity: Time at the beach

``My Story

Anyone who thinks that only Heroes have tragic histories have not met Ashley before. His story begins when his father, Evan McArthur took a wrong turn off a lonely road one night and ended up in Medusa’s most recent lair. A recent collage graduate, Evan was taking a cross country trip by himself but had gotten hopelessly lost. He was almost out of gas and it seemed like a blessing when he pulled up in front of the small, harmless looking cottage. Evan’s plan was to see if he could burrow the phone for it’s occupants but when Medusa greeted him at the door and he caught a whiff of what she was cooking inside, Evan was hopelessly hooked.

The smell of her cooking only reminded him of how hungry he was and Medusa herself proved to be very alluring and mysterious. She was hospitable and kind and soon enough Evan found himself wanting to stay. He did just that, forgetting about his road trip and even the outside world. He was very content with staying there with Medusa and eating whatever she fed him. He would have stayed content for the rest of his life, if it were not for him accidentally stumbling upon her creating one of her stone ‘sculptures.’ Luckily for Evan he came upon Medusa from behind and did not suffer the same fate as the fawn that she had managed to corner. However, it was already too late for him.

Medusa caught him easily as Evan tried to flee and Evan thought that it was the end for him. He’d become one of the many statues to decorate her backyard. But Medusa had something far, far worse planned. She had decided that she was going to change things around and have a living companion instead of a statue. Playing house with Evan had made her want something normal woman could have. A child. She kept Evan around like some kind of submissive pet and several months later Ashley was born. Surprisingly enough, Medusa was a rather doting mother and she was always careful not to expose her son to her gaze. Knowing that it was his own way to survive, Evan stayed close to the baby as well. But Medusa was quickly growing bored with him and he knew that if he didn’t run away he’d be turned into stone. Evan also knew that he had to take his son with him. Medusa was a monster and it killed him to think how twisted the boy would become without anyone to teach him anything about human compassion.

It took several more months for Evan to plan his escape. Ashley was already nearing his first birthday by then and Medusa wanted to give her son an extra special sculpture. Evan waited until she was out hunting for her latest victim before bundling Ashley up and jumping into his long abandoned car. As luck would have it, the car could still run and they made it onto the main highway before it ran out of gas. After that luck stayed on Evan’s side. He managed to hitchhike back to civilization, finding out finally finding out that he had been gone for three years. Incorporating himself and his son back into the normal world was no easy task. From then on Evan became paranoid about everything, convinced that Medusa would come looking for Ashley. He tried to raise his son to be as normal as possible but this hope was in vain. As the boy grew it soon became apparent that he had some of his mother in him. But Evan was determined to have Ashley grow up in a normal and loving climate. He was a supportive father and was always the shoulder for Ashley to cry on whenever he was teased in school for being weird. But all in all Ashley’s life was a constant.

It wasn’t until he was twelve years old that Ashley’s life was turned on its head. To put it simply he came home from school and found a stone statue in the middle of his living room. It looked just like his father, and the worst thing was the look of horror on the statue’s face. In the kitchen, there was the smell of someone cooking and a woman’s voice called out his name. Ashley bolted immediately. It was probably what saved his life. Well, that and the fact that there was a satyr in disguise living next door. The satyr was attracted to his scent and had grown curious about him since Ashley didn’t smell like a demigod but wasn’t fully mortal either. What followed was a chaotic journey to Camp Half-Blood and Ashley has been there since. Since he has nowhere else to go home when the summer ends, he is a year rounder at camp. He helps wherever he can and if he is jealous of the demi-gods, he hides it well.

Personality: If anyone asked Keller to describe his own personality, the answer would be short an sweet. It would contain only one word, and said word would be voiced out with confidence. In short, Keller's answer would simply be awesome. Awesome, awesome, awesome. And it wouldn't hurt if someone put it up in big bold lights over his head either. So, that's one thing about Keller Foster, he has a huge ego. It gets so bad sometimes that even his own half siblings can't stand him, though anything from a good pinch or a quiet word from them can easily bring Keller back down to earth again. Unfortunately this can't be said by those who aren't claimed by Apollo and Keller has made more then a few people dislike him because of that huge ego of his.

On the upside though, he is a very confident person and in general Keller comes off as a person who gets what he wants when he wants it. He can be charming, but is not on the level of a child of Aphrodite, and has a well defined sense of humor. Keller has learned how to laugh at himself and this seems to offset his ego and make his showboating antics look endearing and not insufferable, at least of of the time anyway. While he's always up for fun and good times, Keller does have a quieter and more sensitive side to him. He's friends with just about everybody and is not the type to talk about people behind their backs, even if they're his worst enemies. But the, that only means that for his worse enemies, any insults Keller has to say would be said right into their faces. He is a nice guy, but he's not afraid of confrontation.
Likes:Music, his guitar, poetry though he writes very bad Haikus, his pet mouse named Nostradamus, archery, fantasy novels, pizza, making fun of the Ares cabin.
Dislikes: Ares cabin, liars, anchovies, under appreciation, overbearing individuals, favoritism, lemonade.
Favorite Camp Activity: Campfire, capture the flag

``My Story

Sue Foster was just an ordinary woman who dreamed big but sadly didn't have enough talent to back it all up. Basically she grew up wanting to be a musical sensation, a pop idol and begged and pleaded with her parents to send her for vocal lessons. Sue even thought herself how to play the guitar, and while everybody encouraged her none would tell her to her face that she wasn't anything extraordinary. Sure continued to pursue her dreams, moving from one garage band to another though she never did make it big. The closest she came to performing for a huge audience was as a backup singer and really, no one was there to see her perform or even notice her.

Sue gave up almost everything to chase her dream though. She dropped out of high school and became estranged with her parents in the process, only keeping in contact with her brother Arnold whom she was very close to. To make money, Sue would work at some hokey fifties style diner as a waitress and it was there that she bumped into Apollo. As soon as Apollo walked into the diner, Sue knew that he was no ordinary guy. At first she thought that he was some kind of big music exec but as she studied him, she realized that it was something more. Apollo caught her noticing, and struck up a conversation with her. At first Sue was flustered, but as the night progressed, she began to relax around him and even impressed him with her passion in music. When it came time to clock out, she invited Apollo home with her.

Keller is the result of that one night stand. Growing up, he never met his grandparents since Sue never found the time to reconcile with them. Instead he spent a lot of time with his Uncle's family. Sue did not think to settle down after the birth of her son and was always off swanning off to go for auditions and the like. Keller was practically raised by his uncle, and is very close to that side of his family.

As he grew it quickly became apparent that he had a talent for music. His was always around his older cousin's toy keyboard and the adults would find it so cute when he tried to make music on it. To encourage him, his uncle sent Keller to music lessons when he was six years old and Keller's innate talent flourished from there.

Sue never said anything about those lessons or Keller's talent though, and sometimes he wonders if she resents him for being able to sing and make better music then she generally did. She wasn't even there when on his eleventh birthday, Apollo came back to claim him. If the God was disappointed that he could not see his former lover, he didn't show it, and instead spoke to a stunned Arnold about sending Keller to camp half blood. To Keller this turn of events in his life was something that he had long been half expecting. He had always thought that he was different from the other kids, his ADHD and his dyslexia setting him apart from them. And then there were the rather sinister shadows that he would sometimes see lurking just at the very corners of his vision. The summer of his twelfth birthday, Keller was sent to Camp Half Blood and it was another thing that his mother was not present for. He was been to camp every summer ever since, and if he has 'mommy issues.' Keller hides it really well.

``Looks can be Deceiving
Personality: Nobody really knows Jeremiah but Jeremiah. Those who think they do have only stumbled onto the some form of concocted personality that he leaves around for people to find. To the majority, Jeremiah is just like any other boy. He is careless and unkempt, sporty and rough around the edges. Somehow though, he comes off as trustworthy. A good friend to have at your back, if you discount all the pranks that he’ll play on you. He’s always ready for a laugh and a good time and it always seems that Jeremiah is ready to show the world his sunny smile.

In truth, he has discovered long ago that the laughing fool often laughs himself to the bank…pockets full to the brim with other people’s money. To put things plainly, Jeremiah Avery is a con artist. He is not trustworthy in the least, he just acts that way and knows how to play the part to a T. Has for having your back in a tight spot? Jeremiah is most likely to stab you in the back to save his own skin, and no hard feelings please…it’s just business, thank you very much. In the end it all boils down to transactions and of course Jeremiah wants all the profit. He is a very opportunistic boy, has something of a sliver tongue to help him make all the deals.

However, Jeremiah is not as perfect as he thinks he is. He is only seventeen and still has a long way to go in fine tuning the art of the con. He has natural talent of course, but humans aren’t the only people that he’s going to be dealing with now. He has a tendency to be greedy and yeah sure, he can talk circles around someone but if he’s not careful he’ll get tangled up in his own lies.
Likes: Money, deals that go his way, getting free stuff, picking pockets, playing pranks, having a good time, food, jellybeans (but not the red ones)
Dislikes: Deals that don’t go his way, loosing a bet, people who are very careful with their cash but that’s only because he won’t be able to con them out of it, wet blankets, going hungry, red jellybeans.
Favorite Camp Activity: Breakfast/lunch/dinner and free time.

``My Story
Samantha Avery was a hardcore businesswoman. She was one of the very best in her field and was well aware of that fact. Cut throat and entrepreneurial, there weren‘t many that dared to trifle with her and her climb upwards in the pharmaceutical company that she worked in was rather fast and easy. Too easy perhaps, since natural talent could only take one so far, what Samantha did not know was that Hermes had his eye on her. She was a frequent traveler, jet setting all over the world on some business trip or another and frequent flyer miles were not all that she raked up during these trips. The more he watched her, the more Hermes was impressed by her strength of character and one day he arranged to bump into Samantha at an airport.

He appeared to her as another business person, someone who was young and successful and not unlike herself in many aspects. It happened that their flight was delayed and an innocent over coffee turned into something wholly torrid. To put it in the nicest of terms it wasn’t even a one night stand but it was enough to leave Samantha with child.

This was not a happy discovery for her. A baby would mean maternity leave and other such things that would stop her from going to the office, but Samantha refused to have an abortion. The baby would pose problems and she saw those as challenges that she would beat. And so, nine months later Jeremiah was born. His early life was very comfortable, though he was raised by a slew of nannies and did not see his workaholic mother very often. He did get most of the things that he asked for though, since Samantha had made quite a good life for herself. The only times that Jeremiah would come into contact with his mother would be when he was in trouble. Like any demigod he was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD and Samantha was not pleased. She got him medication for his ADHD and a slew of tutors to help him ’get over’ his dyslexia.

When he turned twelve, Hermes came back to claim him and with the cat out of the bag, things just grew unpleasant. Samantha would defy Hermes‘s suggestion to send Jeremiah to Camp Half Blood. She did not want him in that life and thought that Jeremiah was going to be used as some kind of pawn. She wanted her son in the real world and not somewhere where myths and legends belonged. And so she kept him back, stepping up his medication and hiring more tutors to help him with his grades, anything to suppress that side of him. When odd things started to happen, she just tried to ignore them the best she could. Unfortunately for Samantha those things did not ignore her and Jeremiah right back.

Jeremiah was thirteen when he lost his mother. They were walking home from dinner at a nice restaurant when the hellhound attacked. Samantha was dragged off and Jeremiah who was terrified could not do anything to stop what was happening. He ran away, though by the morning he found that things had only gotten worse for him. Samantha‘s mangled body was found five blocks from where the attack had happened and the police were looking for him. Misunderstanding everything and thinking that he was in trouble, Jeremiah stayed on the back streets of New York. He had a very bad time of it, and it was only due to his budding skills as a thief that kept him from starving.

But it did not keep him from flying below the radar of one James Rockwell. Stealing apples from the front of a grocery store one day, Jeremiah was stopped by James. Thinking that he was finally caught, the boy began to plead and beg to not be turned to the care of the police. James however had other ideas for Jeremiah. He was a rather shady character himself and saw that Jeremiah had a lot of potential in him. James was already an aging thief and needed a partner in crime. For the better part of the next two years, he would groom Jeremiah to be just that. James also had such a human stink on him that he kept the monsters at bay.

Nevertheless, as fate would have it, Jeremiah’s heritage caught up with him again. One day he tried to mug a satyr disguised as a human, one which immediately recognized what he was. Telling Jeremiah that no good would come out of his staying with James, the satyr managed to convince him to come to camp half blood. Packing up what little belongings that he had, Jeremiah undertook the journey and once he set foot in camp he discovered that his father had sent word to the camp director that he was to be placed in the Hermes cabin. Jeremiah has been at Camp Half Blood for two years give or take and is still trying to adjust to life there. Seeing his background, he is a year rounder.

Personality: To call Felix a cheeky monkey would be seriously understating things. Hyperactive, he is always on the move. Always looking for something to do or some sort of mischief to get into. He doesn't even have to be at the center of the trouble, he just has to be in on it, close enough to it to enjoy the fun. Felix's hyper activeness is however, not limited to just the physical. It takes someone very patient to have an actual conversation with he because he jumps topics likes nobody's business. You could be talking about camp activities one minute and then the fact that Isaac Asimov is the only author to have a book in every Dewey-decimal category, the next.

In fact it is usually Felix's mouth which gets him into trouble most of the time. Shifting topics and going off tangent in a conversation is one thing, but he has no brain to mouth filter to speak off. Whatever pops into his head he'll voice. If he thinks you're getting fat he'll say it. If he thinks you're being stupid, he'll voice it out too. He is not trying to be insulting however, to Felix he is just stating facts. He'll often be surprised if someone acts badly to whatever he says, since facts are facts like the sky is blue and the grass is green. You either get over it, or you'll have to buy a whole lot of paint.

Nevertheless, Felix is just a nice, approachable boy. Being laid back and willing to go with the flow, he makes friends easily. He'll prove to be a loyal friend once you get past all the quirky things he says and Felix is just the type to dig his heels in and protect his friends no matter what the cost. He also has a healthy respect for females, which seems at odds sometimes because of his too honest answers when it comes to questions about weight or makeup.
Likes: White chocolate, cats, getting inked (he got his tattoos at fifteen and looks to add to his collection), colors, people watching, situations that are confused and complicated, reading
Dislikes: Boredom, boring people, overly angsty people, getting hungry, people asking him if he's too young to have his tattoos, his father, getting called a pretty boy, people saying that his mother is only a 'minor' god.
Favorite Camp Activity: Anytime where there's food involved and capture the flag.

``My Story

Felix's father, Alexander Edan was a successful and much celebrated psychiatrist. Working in one of the biggest asylums in Boston, his speciality were people suffering from schizophrenia and hallucinations. Alexander was mainly knows for his compassion and kindness towards his patients and was a well known advocate for humane treatment for the clinically insane. Looking back, this was probably what attracted the goddess Pasithea to him.

They met in the asylum that Alexander worked in. Bumping into each other a couple of times, he thought that she was a visiting family member of one of the many patients there. They struck up many a conversation, and while she proved somewhat mysterious, the spark of attraction was there from the very beginning. It was a whirlwind romance, and they were together for the better part of a year before Pasithea or rather 'Thea' disappeared. Alexander was heartbroken, he had actually fallen in love with the goddess and thought that would be last that he was see of her.

Six months later, he was proven very wrong. Pasithea appeared at his doorstep and this time there were no disguises. She bought Felix along with her and opened up to Alexander, telling him of what she truly was and that he had to take care of their son until he was old enough to go to Camp Half Blood. To say that Alexander did not react well to the news would be an understatement. Heartbreak had turned into resentment and hate by then and the news that he would be saddled in with an infant was the straw that broke the camel's back. He railed at Pasithea, calling her a myth. Basically telling her that she had no right to exist since Greek gods had no place in the modern world. Railing and cursing at the gods never did anyone good, especially when it's done right to their faces. Pasithea in turn struck him with horrible hallucinations that would last a lifetime, effectively driving Alexander as insane as his patients.

It was lucky for Felix, that his uncle Harold, a tattoo artist, was visiting with Alexander then. Since he was Felix's closest mortal kin, Pasithea charged him with looking after the baby. After seeing first hand at what she had done to his poor brother, Harold wisely agreed. And so, Felix was raised by an uncle who quickly grew to love him. Of course Felix was an easy baby to love. He was a curious child and this followed him as he grew up. Harold proved to be a supportive guardian, particularly when Felix was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD. Harold was always there to protect him against testy teachers when his grades slipped and never always seemed to understand when Felix came home with a less then satisfying report card. It got up to the point where Felix himself would find his uncle's behaviour odd.

Pasithea showed up again a few weeks before his twelve birthday and this was the first time that Felix got to meet his mother. At first he thought it was a joke, some prank that his uncle Harold was pulling on him. When he found that it was otherwise, Felix was for once struck speechless. He went to Camp Half Blood that same year, excited to learn more about this whole new world that had opened up for him. Learning a lot at camp, one thing was for sure though, Felix hated to hear anyone refer to his mother as 'minor'. It's just one thing that he cannot stand and has become determined to show that a son of hers is just as good as the child of any of the more well known gods
